*Pay it Forward* & *PB & Js*

FIRST OFF: I really enjoyed the video clips! I am definitely considering renting that movie! Although my Pb&j partner said that it was sad :-( But overall, it seems like a really good movie! Watching kids like that trying to CHANGE THE WORLD is motivating to others (especially older people such as myself) to do the same! If an 11 year old can do it...why can't I? And what a better way to CHANGE THE WORLD, than doing it with other LEADERS in your own community??!!

Pay it Forward was a great idea to base our class off of. We were able to use that theme and apply it to our task (making the BEST peanut butter & jelly sandwiches you will ever lay your eyes on). And there is nothing better than networking with sticky peanut butter & jelly hands (just like kids)! I look forward to next Friday! hmmmm I wonder what will be getting ourselves into this time? I think I am starting to like surprises ;-)

ASSIGNMENT #2: It wasn't exactly "my" idea to start the class about fraternal change with a service project...I definitely don't want to take the credit for that! But I do agree that it was a great idea! It was different, but no one in the class was opposed to doing something different. I believe this opened the door for better communication. I felt more comfortable with my partner compared to a possible awkward situation that could have resulted in not knowing what to say or ask. We were all engaged in a certain task that was fun at the same time. Not only did the task bring about good conversation, but we were making the sandwiches for a good cause ("paying it forward").
