"In A Perfect World"

My inspiration for the title of this blog came from the last hit album from Keri Hilson title, "In A Perfect World."

I am a very visual person, (idk my brain works in mysterious ways) so when I think of certain topics/words, I come up with some time of correlated picture in my mind.
For this "PERFECT WORLD" I think of Spongebob Squarepants and the "Not Normal" Episode from season 6 where he wanted to live "perfectly normal" (ITS HILARIOUS)!
Too bad I couldn't find a good enough video too share for you all who have not enjoyed this particular show...but here is a picture of Spongebob being normal, with no holes (or imperfections), smooth and glowing face, and a bright and cheerful smile!
Reality is that nothing will ever be as Perfect and normal like Spongebob depits in this Episode.

But, if I even had the option to some how make the world how I want it to be...My Perfect World... I would first off want all citizens to be HAPPY (just like spongebob)! There would be no reason for pain and sorrow. People would not suffer from health diseases and disabilities. Everyone would be able to function life equally. There would be no such thing as racism; we would actually except eachother  regardless of physical differences. There would be no poverty. The people of my world would all live by the same morals and values to eliminate future issues. There would be no such thing as "currency"; implementing superior meaning to a piece of paper or metal is utterly ridiculous. We would all be on one accord and treat eachother fairly like brothers and sisters. (almost as if we were family). Everyone would believe in the same higher power on the same level-avoiding possible religious conflict. Thus, making sure that everyone is on the same page would be extremely rigorous. Thats why it is called the "perfect world" (something that is not real, and nothing will every be PERFECT)!

What's the hold up? Our Fraternal Movement: Dilemma/Opprotunity

This question goes out to all of my fraternal brothers and sisters: What's the hold up?

Dilemma: 1st off every time I ear this word I think about the song that was made by Nelly (rapper) and Kelly (singer). The name of the song is "Dilemma" (Oh what a coincidence)! The chorus of the song goes,  "no matter what I do...all I think about is you...even when Im with my boo, boy you know Im crazy over you" and clearly this girl and guy really like each other, but their Dilemma is that she has another guy....(Oh, man, such a sad story wamp wamp wamp)!

on back to the topic of our fraternity/sorority lives...

Dilemma: an argument presenting two or more equally conclusive alternatives against an opponent;  a usually undesirable or unpleasant choice (Webster). As leaders we take it upon ourselves to serve the community in any way we can. We are a rear breed, and there are no other organizations like us. We utilize our resources and Opprotunities to promote sisterhood/brotherhood, bring revenue to our communities in need, ecourage scholarship and education, and we build family-like relationships with our brothers and sisters. BUT, our Dilemma (at times) are: negative stereotypes that seem to follow us no matter where we go or how much change we try to make, negative images and brands for individual chapter, unethical and illegal conduct during the intake of our organizations, and most of the time our past and maybe eve an few people always seem to spoil Opprotunities for everyone in the group as a whole.

The sad thing about these types of situtions is that even though our pros may outway our cons, to the public, our cons will always outway our pros. And, alot of the good things we do are overlooked and not acknowledged. The cons and negative things are what people pay most attention in the school newspaper and word of mouth.

Thus, this is why we are the leaders and not those seeking out to find negativity. We are all in our positions for a reason and we can continue to paying our Opprotunities foward all while we slowly but surely work towards deplinishing our Dilemma!

Just an INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT!

BELIEF--> is the key that will open your door to countless opprotunities. Believe not only in yourself, but in you PURPOSE as well.
